今天我与我所爱的另一伴走在红地毯, 一起走入生命中的另一个阶段.
我们都来之不同的家庭背景, 不同的成长经历, 但却在上帝的爱里建立一个共同属于我们的家.

结婚当天有很多难忘及感动的事. 我希望将它永远的保留住.
有一天当我们都走得很辛苦时就可以回想起这一路来走得不容易...所以不可以轻易放弃.

刚刚换了新工作，又要筹备人生大事，同时要准备新居的事。
听起来很充实叻。。。
自己也觉得真的好就没有休息了。
虽让觉得累，但是从生活中学了很多功课。
真的希望可以抽出时间和大家分享分享。

婚纱摄影日

终于拍完了婚纱照.
上午去TTDI拍外景. 下午在studio拍.
一天, 就这样过去了.

其实...心里是有小小的担心.不知道拍出来的效果是不是自己想要的.
只好相信摄影师的专业了.

拍完之后的感想和每一位拍过婚纱照的感觉是一样的...累垮了!!!
不过如果出来的成品是好的...那就值得咯...

这一天很快就要到来了...

马六甲...我来了!!!!

因为工作的关系,我的生活有很大的改变.
五月开始...我将会以马六甲成为我第二个'家'.
因为这里的生意越来越大...而吉隆坡的越来越小, 我的大老板就决定派我下来帮助我的小老板.

结果是...公司住了一间condo.
不知道是好事还是坏事...我别无选择.
只知道每星期三天在马六甲,两天在吉隆坡.
说真的...我自己也不知道这样可以维持多久.试着看吧!

不小心

今年一开始, 就有不好的事发生.

因为…相机不见了!!!!
而且还是第二天才察觉到的.

当我一发现时, 一股恐惧很紧张急速的涌上心头.
因为那架相机可不是我的啊!
冷静的想想…因该是前一晚吃饭时丢失的. 我的包包掉进椅子旁的角落.
我有伸手找找…没东西…所以不以为然.

一定是那里! 越想越有信心一定会找到.
从我的地方到餐厅需一小时, 我半小时就到了.
冲进店里, 直奔昨晚我们坐的地方找来找去.
并没有…
还是没有…
真的没有…

啊!之后好像有走进几间店.
所以就一间一间去问.
虽让我知道即使有人捡到…他们也不可能还给人的.
不过那时我可以做的就只有这样了.

最后一个有可能找到的地方…就是我家.
其实当我发现相机不见时, 第一个就打电话给我弟…在家里找找.
不管怎样还是要试试.
结果…还是没有.

我真的不知道自己可以做什么了.
这时只有坐下来…毫无头绪…也深深的体会到什么叫做’无能为力’.
如果知道可以做什么的话…我一定会做的.

心情很复杂…
紧张…因为还是找不到.
无奈…因为真的无能为力.
害怕…因为不知怎么跟物主交待.
心痛…因为这相机可不便宜. 上网查了价钱…要RM1200，还没包括memory card and casing.

最后我弟送我四个字… “面对现实”!!!!
他说得没错. 能做的都做了…只有接受事实.

朋友说:”你不是故意的, 叫你的BIG帮你付.”
是啊…是我不小心.
难道一句不小心就可以把问题推给别人.
每个问题都要有人去处理.
不管是有心无心,事情总要解决的.
所以我觉得我有责任.

要花一大笔钱买一个不属于自己的东西, 又这么贵, 真的觉得可惜.
心是百般的不愿意. 如果可以的话我也不希望负责 (人的本性是逃避嘛).
但还是觉得必须要勇敢的面对自己的错.
如果这笔钱可以让我学习成为一个有责任感的人..也值得!

有人说:”如果可以用钱解决的问题,那就不叫做问题.”
我也只好这样安慰自己.

毕竟, 钱如果没有永恒的价值, 又何必识她如命呢!

2006 Recap

2006 has been a great year to me. Since I moved to KL in April 2005, it's been almost 16 months. A lot of new experiences which add spice to my life and also much learning curves which shed lots of tears.

Thanks to my Father who guides me all the way and blesses me abundantly always.
Thanks to my Family who pray for me and supporting me always.
Thanks to my Big who encourages me and strives for our better life always.
Thanks to my Friends who are willing to listen and help always.

JANUARY
I offered Big's sister to look after her precious son so that she can shop freely for CNY but look what I got her son into. Poor Timothy...I was just walking a few steps away from him and he thought I'm playing hide-and-seek with him. He ran so fast to towards me and never realize that I was on a lower floor. He landed on his forehead and when I hold him up...he became like this (look at his forehead):

The rest of the day he keep tapping his chest...meaning "I scared".
I feel guilty lo...'no face to see him'... Ha ha!


FEBRUARY
My favourite festive season, Chinese New Year.

Once a year I bake cake using my mum's super old oven. My cheesecake bake from this oven is so niceeeeee until mum's colleague even order one from me for RM 40. Well, the next year she never mentioned again (*_*) Then I realized....the best cake I made ever is on the first time I started baking.

MARCH
Training in Bangkok. Each year I met new friends from overseas. This year I met Su-Kyeong, a beautiful Korean young lady. Surprisingly... more people think that she is Japanese and I'm Korean???

Colleagues from Korea, Taiwan and Singapore. We became buddies and still keep in touch even until now.

Company annual dinner...The most memorable dish is Ah Yat Abalone. Cos the goose claw taste better than the abalone.

And my first taste of Buddha Jump Over The Wall. Still don't know why this dish is costly. I only know I found chicken skin besides abalone, sea cucumber, etc...and this already spoil my impression of this great dish for Emperor.

A big issue happened at customer side and I have no peaceful nights for almost 2 months.

To be a healthy Ahsi, I decided to sign up for fitness membership.

JUNE
Company trip to Bali despite volcano eruption. Bali is a beautiful island with rich culture and art. But we have some bad experience of been chased after by groups of adults and children into buying their crafts.

JULY
This year is the 7th year after we graduated from STMS (Short Term Missionary School). Because we are the 7th batch, all 42 students 'pledged' that we shall gather again on 7th July after 7 years.

Everyone is scattered everywhere in the world. So we started from those staying in KL. The grand gathering will be on 2007 CNY at Sibu.

We start our gathering at 2pm, have so much to talk until we finished at 11.30pm. Non-Stop!


AUGUST

Joey is a beauty editor for a famous magazine. Basically she don't need to spend a cent on those newly launch skincare and cosmetics products we see in magazine. Cos they'll call her up and offer her to test and write about their products. So nice.... We also call ourselves as 'Gou zai dui' (Meaning Paparazzi in Chinese).


SEPTEMBER
Penang trip with colleagues. Althea and Ah Kok is coming up from Singapore to join us.

Must-go place in Penang cos mum is a nutmeg lover.

OCTOBER
Long awaited month...
Back to Sibu to celebrate Mum's birthday and Mooncake Festival. As I haven't been back for sometimes, I really miss the local food which no where else can be found. As our normal practice, we'll go out for breakfast every morning. My family also very keen to bring me around so that I manage to eat all the food that I have been missing.

NOVEMBER
Have 2 new process installation in Melaka...spend almost the whole month there. This month I really drive a lot cos need to bring our collegues from US, Thailand and China around. Got more familiar with the historical town. But what I miss more is still the food!

I have just uploaded my Christmas wishlist for a few hours when Mr Big came home with a digital cam...!

Digital cam is one of my wishlist's item which I never expect to get (haha..just to encourage myself to save more to get one). So I'm really excited. It's a token of heart from his boss for rewarding his hard work, I guess. Cos he is working really hard, even on most weekends.

Well, it's not for me....but, I'm authorized to use and safeguard.

Am happy enough...of cos lo...it's FOC!!!

The Days Without Car

Thanks to my lovely housemate, Siew Wei and my colleague, Chris who are willing to bring me to work and send me home.

The very first morning without car, Siew Wei and I decided to have breakfast together before work. So we choose to eat Dim Sum near my office. This type of chance is very rare....ha ha. We are both excited as this remind us of the good times with our own family who used to eat breakfast outside every morning. Here...we seldom do that as eveyone is rushing for work and leave house at different time.

One thing I feel strange is that she put her tissue box in front of her steering.

'How are you able to see the front?'
'Oh...never think of that. Just feel that this is more convenient to take tissue. What for I put faraway?' *_*

How many of you is doing her way?
Cos not only it block my view, the reflection of light is a disturbance to me.

As I can't go out to dabao, the food that I have at home is either dried or frozen. The whole day, I eat instant noodle, hot dog, frozen dumpling, frozen pau, frozen glutionous rice ball....

So this morning I decided to go market to buy fresh food.
I am a bit pissed off...as suddenly I am labeled as 'Auntie'

'Auntie, lei you mai me a (what do u want to buy)?'
'Mmm.....'
'Auntie, lei you me a (what u want)?'

I turn...saw an old woman about 60 year-old pick here pick there.
Wah lau e... she called a 60 year-old woman auntie,
she also called me a 20++ young lady auntie....
You say....气不气!

But stupid me lo...I still buy from her!

New Toll Rates in Klang Valley

KUALA LUMPUR: Toll rates of five highways - Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP), Lebuhraya Shah Alam, Lebuhraya Cheras-Kajang, Lebuhraya KL-Karak and Lebuhraya Koridor Guthrie - will be raised from between 30 sen and RM 1 from Jan 1 2007.

The new toll charges are:
LDP, RM1.60 (previously RM1)
L'raya Shah Alam, RM2.20 (RM1.50)
L'raya Cheras-Kajang, Batu 9, RM 1 (70 sen)
L'raya Cheras-Kajang, Batu 11, 90 sen (60 sen )
L'raya KL-Karak-Gombak, RM5
L'raya KL-Karak-Bentong, RM3 (RM2.50)
L'raya Koridor Guthrie, RM1.40 (RM1)

Works Minister, who announced the rates on Thursday, said the rates were much lower than what the highway concessionaires had asked for, in accordance with their concession agreements. He said the government revised the demanded rates, because it did not want consumers to be burdened.

Black Tuesday

This morning, my car was knocked by a Mitsubishi Pajero on my way to office. The first cross junction after exit highway was down and you can guess already with traffic in KL...everyone was moving like mad cow (including me...He he) I wanted to go straight...the two rows of car from my left has stopped to let me go...but then a pencen Ah Pek drive fast and steady, didn't know my car was there.....BANG!...hit from the left.



Thanks to this fellow uncle. And what happened to my car?





And later, which is what I never expect to see from my own eyes...the true side of our community.

My friend called someone from motor servicing company and they brought me to police station to logde report. When came to my turn...I noticed that the lady officer wear a badge said "SAYA ANTI RASUAH" and I was surprised that she treat me nicely...Wah..nowadays...police really improved a...

When finished...the guy from motor company asked me to leave first...then he 'slide in' a red note (RM 10) under the papers...acting like nothing happen!!! After that I asked why he did that. 'You think why she nice to you a...she already smile to us when we just came in, all these have to pay one!'

Later, we went to see Surgen who will decide who get the summon.
I sit in front of him, say nothing, sign my signature and leave the room...in less than 2 minutes. So the same thing happened...the guy went into the room and they chat very long.
When he came out...

'How much did you give him?'
'RM100'
'HA...........!!!! So much!'
'This is not much lo....sometimes have to give RM150-200'

Cannot imagine Malaysia's future...Mou ngan tai (Cantonese)!

So my car was sent to garage for at least 5 days...and I'm like 'crippled'.
In KL, if you don't have car especially for sales....you are 'paralyzed'!

New Laptop

At last, I got a totally new company laptop.

Why am I happy over a laptop which doesn't belong to me?

Well...my company have a strange policy before this that every new laptop has to start with our managerial level. So their used laptop will pass down to the senior engineers and guess what... the juniors get the almost-dying laptop which had been through don't know how many hands.

When I first joined the company about 3 years back...I was just so excited to hear that I'm going to have a notebook...(You know la...fresh grads...shock man!) But my heart sank like Titanic when I took out a 1.8 inch thick 'textbook'! It was among the oldest series of IBM Thinkpad and guess what...super duper heavy! I was told that IBM is the pioneer of notebook maker but it was really hard for me to appreciate. I feel shy to even take it out as other supplier was using the latest Dell model. It took me almost half a year to slowly 'accept' my given notebook.

The second year I got another one...because my IBM died. The problem was...the 'A' button...when you hit it...letter 'A' won't come out. So our IT guy diagnosed that the keypad was damaged and cannot be re-lived.

Here it comes...HP...thinner, 1.5 inch but still heavy. This is the one that I always hear complains from it's owner in Singapore..and I never expect it to have next owner...me! Well, after been with it for 6 months, suddenly one day, it just died. I had to send it to Singapore to recover all my important data, then to HP head quarter in KL but no way to save.

So then I transfered from Singapore to Malaysia branch. I thought this time they might give me a better one as I heard that Malaysia's culture is different. So I got this...

Though the previous hand is our MD, it was a lot better than IBM and HP.
1 inch, lighter, smaller and faster....more sleek too...
The only thing is that the CD Rom is external so...at times when you really need to run CD...you'll be in frustration. And why bother to bring extra things?

Life's short.... after one and half year it starts to give problem. It'll restart 3-5 times before logging into Windows. This takes about 30 minutes and shutting down needs 10-15 minutes. IT department suggested that I should get a new one as it may die anytime. So that's how I have a new one...finally...

And build in CD burner and DVD rom.
The best is....it totally new!

After having 3 laptop died in my hands...I guess how long will my lap-baby survive..Haha!

晚上和大学朋友越好在KLCC一起吃晚餐.
为了避开赛车, 所以决定搭LRT.
当我开车到LRT站时...就有3位印裔男子...很友善的招手, 指着一个空的泊车位.
我的心犹豫一下...不知道这是不是有特别收费的...因为天下没有白吃的午餐.
而且, 他们这么友善...一定有事. (这就是城市人心态...)

转头看看...也真的是没别的空位了.
管他的. 就泊吧.
下车...天开始变黑...打雷...

'Ah Moi! Lima ringgit cuci kereta!'
'HA....!!! Sudah mau hujan...mau kerja lagi ke?'
'Tak da lah...' (那时雷声越来越响...真的是振大眼说瞎话!)
'Tapi kereta saya baru cuci le...tak mau lah...'
'Bolehlah...lima ringit saja...semua kasi bersih bersih'
'Tayar juga masuk cuci?'
'Ya ya. Mesti lah...'
'Ok lah...Tolong jaga kereta a...'
'Boleh, boleh...OUI!!!!!! Mari sini.....!!!'

迎面而来的是一个很瘦的老阿伯...骑着单车，后面载着一桶水.
看到这一幕, 觉得有点心酸.

朋友说得没错...
五块钱对我们而言不是大钱...我们的一餐饭往往是五块钱的好几倍.
但对他们来说, 确实能让他们养家活口.

近来攫夺案越来越多, 不知道是不是生活真难到极点, 还是因为人心变了, 为了自己可以伤害无辜性命. 这些洗车的伯伯...至少...选着靠自己的劳力来换取生活.

上了LRT...不到10分钟...就下了很大很大的雨!!!! *_*

真的价钱!!!

午餐后, 要结账时, 我拿出两张RM10纸钱给服务生.
一会儿, 他走过来...

'小姐, 这张钱是假的.'
'假的? 怎么可能!'
'是假的. 你看, 这张看不到人头. 而且, 摸起来比较滑.'

拿过来摸一摸...果然不一样.

想一想, 这钱因该是昨天下午买午饭时找回的.
记得我当时是给老板RM50，他共给回4张RM10，所以没去留意.
事实上, 平时也不会去注意每一张钱吧.
在想...老板其实是自己也不知道...还是有意图...刚好遇到机会?

仔细看...还真的很假.
看起来是用glossy paper影印出来的.
旁边的银色直边还是用银色手工粘纸粘上去的...还可以撕开来!

还好这只是RM10, 如果是一张RM50, 那真的是会摧心肝啊!!!!
希望大家也都留意到手的钱.

看来生活真的是越来越难咯...

部落格

拥有个人的部落格是自己从来都没想过的.
之前总觉得这是件浪费时间的事啦.
所以从不留意. 特别是当朋友邀请我到他的部落格看看...我只是应酬应酬.
不知怎么的...我的想法改变了...

有一次, 很用心的阅读朋友在他部落格所发表的心得...就这样被感动了.
或许, 是因为想念老友...想到年少时候...大家都充满梦想.
或许, 是因为出了社会...每天忙碌工作...却忘记了如何生活.
或许, 是因为现实生活...不断要求进步...却忘记了珍惜身边的一切.

对我来说, 部落格是个人的心灵空间. 很随意的...让一个人面对生活, 面对自己.
尽管是开心, 伤心, 有趣, 无聊.... 让回忆保全起来.
同时也可以和其他人分享...彼此鼓励...充满温馨的空间.
现在可以体会朋友们的心情了...就是当自己有了部落格, 也很希望和大家分享.
有时生命到了十字路口...除了上帝的同在, 也很需要朋友的相伴.
毕竟...人生本来就不是独角戏!

Flaming Sambuca

A week before, Tai brought a German colleague to an Italian bistro in Melaka.
And the German claimed that the food taste very close to the authentic Italian gourmet.

So, this week he brought me, Visidh and Peter who came from Guangzhou to the same place again. The environment is good and the food is nice...

Well....it's not for me to judge if the food is really Italian but I can say it's not bad. The most interesting part is when Visidh order a sambuca and the show begun....

Bicolor Sweet Corn

Mr Big's boss brought these to us....



Special sweet corn from Cameron Highland, which I never seen before.
This species have yellow and white kernels!!!
Guess what? It is sweeter, juicier and thicker than normal yellow corn.
The white kernel actually taste sweeter than the yellow.
And just eat one then you are full already!

Then I know....
Sweet corn comes in three colors: yellow, white, and bicolor (yellow and white).
Cross-pollination of yellow kernel varieties with white kernel varieties will result in production of bicolor corn. Also, if a bicolor is cross pollinated with a yellow variety, kernel color will be predominantly yellow.

贴心服务

在马六甲住了整个星期, 开始想念大城市的生活了.
想念健身房.
想念宽大的高速公路.

回到饭店, 又是面对着同一个陌生的空间.
可是...今天有点不同.



当我放下公事包时, 发现我的袜子在椅子上排的整整齐齐.
可爱的小熊Winnie对我微笑.
心里突然感到很窝心.
反复回到自己的家...很舒服.
服务生贴心的小动作另我疲惫的心变得愉快.

Hazardous Day

What a poisonous day!
We have a new process installation at a manufacturer in Malacca.
And that's the reason I'm here.

Since this is a new process, meaning I have no real-hands-on-experience of this new process, we need a sifu. So to make sure everything is all right, we brought in Tanapat (no, he 'flied' here) from Thailand who has 10 years experience. Sounds old...but actually he is only x0 yrs old la...

The first day was to do tank cleaning after draining the old chemical. So everything is doing fine until we put in the leaching chemical. Reaction begun and it started to release chlorine gas. This can cause irritation to our respiratory system so everyone start to cough. As the exhaust system is not strong enough, the only way we do is to move away from the place. However, on and off we take turns to check if the leaching is doing good. After almost 3 hours, the leaching is done and immediately drained.

Well...things do not move on so easily.The next day, all of us (engineers) were sick. Actually we all came with a weak state of 'body'...same symptoms...sore throat, cough, etc..So we decided to see doctor together.
Three of us sit in front of the doctor and been 'diagnosed' one by one.
This is my first experience seeing doctor with my colleagues together in the room! Ha ha...


Asking for receipt cos is on our boss. Ho ho...


Just to make sure we don't take medicine wrongly.

Took this at Tai's house after clinic.

I'm happy that Tanapat is here helping us and am glad to get to know him.

What I have learnt this time : Love your body...and be careful with chemicals. Don't play play! Even with household cleaners, detergents, sprays, No wonder why most 'dedicated' housewifes have more sickness than those always-free-to-gossip Ah Sams!!

Zoo Negara

It's the first day of Hari Raya holiday and I brought my aunties and cousins to Zoo Negara. At first I thought my duty as a tour guide in KL is bring them to all the mega shopping malls in the city. As now is sales seasons and more importantly...this is my favourite 'task'...Ha ha...

But yesterday night's discussion was to bring them some place where the kids will like it.....ZOO!

Well.....I think it's ok.....but I started to feel a bit stressed as I don't know how to get there. Without my Mr Big being together...I'll definitely get lost. I'm not afraid of getting lost in KL as this happens to me very often. But with my car full of passengers...it's a different story.

It turned out to be good. We reached there...good journey...nice weather.Seeing the kids getting excited, I also start to feel more relaxed. Once, someone told me that the animals in our zoo is dying...most of it...so nothing much to see. Well, not really so.

And please don't think that it is only for parents and kids...I do see a few couples le...



Giraffes are really tall.
They are the first to feel the rain!!!

We all waiting for the Elephant show but to out disappointment, it is cancelled.
So the zoo staff unchained the elephants for us to take photo.
People start to feed them with sugar cane. This Mr Ele is stretching his 'nose' to grab sugar cane.



Then, happily he bring to his mouth and...



Crunch Crunch Crunch....
Sugar cane to us is so hard..but to them it's just like a choco stick!



Another fun part is the Multi-animal show. Like other zoos, there is parrot and sea lion performance. But this Orang Utan showed up by hanging onto a rope across the audience. We all feel quite excited to see orang utan so close to us.

Tiger, Lion, Kangaroo, Hippopotamus, Penguin, Bear, Monkeys, Birds, Flamingo, Sheep, Camel,Leopard, Mouse deer, Crocodile,

Just before Hari Raya, ticket price has increased 50%;
Adult : RM 15.00
Children : RM 6.00
Senior citizen : RM 6.00

Still, it is a cheap way to have great experience!!!

月圆人团圆

今年的中秋节在家里过. 真的是月圆人团圆.
全家人都齐. 而且, 还多加人呢. 妈妈只煮几道她的拿手好菜过过节.
因为前晚大家已经参加了古田公会的中秋联欢晚会...吃了大餐...所以中秋节这天就吃简单点.



好象中秋节的气氛越来越淡. 几乎没看到人提灯笼. 我想可能也是因为烟雾的关系.
记得小时候吃完晚饭后, 我们这帮小孩子就会将整间屋子的灯都关掉.
然后每个人都提着自己的纸灯笼在暗暗的屋子里绕每个角落.
之后就会到屋外排排走着提灯笼. 谁的灯笼越慢被烧掉, 谁就比较厉害.
在圆圆的月光下我们都会不经意的指着月亮说: ’哇!!!月亮好圆哦!’
这时大人们一定会给同一个反应: ‘千万不可以用手指指着月亮, 不然耳朵会被割!’
‘被割? 这是哪门子的原理啊!’
‘我不相信!’

来他们看过很多例子, 用手指指月亮后, 耳朵就会有伤口, 严重的还会流脓.
而且, 这是也发生在我堂妹身上. 可是我认为那只是巧合.
为了证明这不是真的, 我就好几次刻意的看着月亮, 指着它...
然后等着看耳朵有什么变化. 确实什么事也没有.
看吧!渐渐长大候, 发现越来越多大人对小孩子所说的事，
其实只是谎言, 要孩子们听话!
比如...“晚上不可剪指甲, 否着会看到不该看的'东西'!!”

谎言迟早会被揭开...也难怪我们这代长大后他们也不再提了.
可是.....他们对我们的下一代还是用同一招!
依我看...现在的小孩子都这么灵巧...该想想更厉害的咯...哈哈.



一大早就要把这只鸭送给阿姆... 我想它肯定过不了中秋节! 呵呵!
相信吗? 小时候我很常帮阿姆宰杀鸡鸭呢...现在却不敢靠近叻.

终于要回家了!!!

从来没试过离家那么久.
新年到现在有整整10个月了.
真的真的很久都没见到家人. 真的很想念他们.
不知道大家变得如何, 是胖, 是瘦, 更漂亮, 还是....哈哈!

这次回家刚好全家都在. 所以一定很热闹.
以前要不是爸爸在外地, 就是妹妹留学.
更开心的是.....妈和妹都请了假.....可以有更多的时间在一起.

可能当游子久了. 搭飞机回家不再是那么兴奋的事了.
现在的我.....想念比兴奋还多.
除了看家人, 也想怀念从小长大的地方想吃外地吃不到的小吃还有很多很多.

一切都准备好了.
只等上飞机咯.....
爸, 妈..........我回来了!!!

真的是好大一块...也超好吃的.

还蛮值得的...当然咯...是免费的! 哈哈...
